About Us

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club was incorporated in 1914 with the purpose of bringing its members together “for mutual helpfulness and the betterment of the community.” Currently boasting a membership of over 140 women, the Club meets monthly from September through May featuring speakers on a variety of subjects from gardening to the arts to science. We raise funds through memberships, sales, and special fund-raising events, and distribute them in the form of annual donations to local non-profit organizations and scholarships awarded to deserving local college-bound high school seniors.

Donations in support of our Community Gifts and Scholarships can be made by writing a check payable to the Woods Hole Woman’s Club Charitable Trust and mailing it to: Woods Hole Woman’s Club, P.O. Box 342, Woods Hole, MA 02543. Please specify whether you would like your donation to go toward Community Gifts or Scholarships.

Most meetings are open to the public and are publicized in local newspapers. Information about membership is available here.

The club logo, an illustration of Black-eyed Susans and a Honey Bee, was created by long-time member and past-president Julia S. Child. It incorporates the Club colors of yellow and brown.
