About Us

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club was incorporated in 1914 with the purpose of bringing its members together “for mutual helpfulness and the betterment of the community.” Currently boasting a membership of over 130 women, the Club meets monthly from September through May featuring speakers on a variety of subjects from gardening to the arts to science. We raise funds through memberships, sales, and special fund-raising events, and distribute them in the form of annual donations to local non-profit organizations and scholarships awarded to deserving local college-bound high school seniors.

Most meetings are open to the public and are publicized in local newspapers. Information about membership is available here.

The club logo, an illustration of Black-eyed Susans and a Honey Bee, was created by long-time member and past-president Julia S. Child. It incorporates the Club colors of yellow and brown.
