Beginning in 1927, the Woods Hole Woman’s Club has presented scholarships as part of its community service. Since 1980, more than 150 graduating seniors from Precinct 1 have received awards.
The number of $1000 scholarships awarded varies depending on the funds available and the number of candidates who qualify. Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors in December of the applicant’s senior year. The application form is also available here.
The deadline is included with the application. Due to the blizzard, for 2026, it has been extended to March 17, 2026. Recipients are announced before May.
NOTE: This merit-based scholarship is available ONLY to graduating high school seniors residing in Falmouth Precinct One! Voter Precinct Maps are available on the Town of Falmouth website. If you are unsure, please call Falmouth Town Clerk’s office 508-495-7360.
Donations to the Scholarship fund can be made by writing a check payable to the Woods Hole Woman’s Club Charitable Trust. Mail to: Woods Hole Womans’ Club, P.O. Box 342, Woods Hole, MA 02543. Please specify that you would like your donation to go toward Scholarships.
