Elise Casso is an outstanding cross-country runner who also participates in figure skating, lacrosse, and a variety of other outdoor sports year-round. Her training for running taught her that “accomplishments feel better when you work for them.” Singing in the chorus and photography are other interests. She loved working as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Children’s School of Science and is considering a teaching career. She is headed to Bowdoin College in Maine.
Faye McGuire is a three-season athlete (soccer, basketball, and lacrosse) and plays violin in her school’s orchestra. She has shared her talents in soccer, sailing, and reading with younger students. Faye mounted a local campaign to ban the sale and release of balloons, which are known to threaten the environment. After speaking to Falmouth’s Select Board and Town Meeting, the initiative won nearly unanimous support. Fay will attend Amherst College.
Luke Okoshi-Michel has won multiple awards for his science projects and for violin performance. He played varsity soccer and tennis and shared his talents with younger students by working as a summer camp counselor and as a soccer coach and referee. Luke was appointed to the Falmouth Cultural Council and has worked with two regional youth climate programs. He will enroll in Tufts University’s College of Engineering.
Gabriel Remsen is the president of Falmouth High School’s chapter of DECA (an international business leadership organization). He regularly practices Muay Thai, a martial art that includes physical training, mental focus, and respect. The Falmouth Road Race has benefited from his volunteering. He has worked as a parking attendant at Nobska Beach and a cashier at Eastman’s Ace Hardware. Gabe is planning to attend Emmanuel College and major in political science.
Daniel Sullivan has maintained a rigorous academic schedule while pursuing excellence in musical theater through enrollment in theater courses at FHS and taking private lessons in both voice and dance. Beyond performing in high school plays and musicals, he has performed in both College Light Opera Company and Falmouth Theater Guild productions. He will continue his education at Manhattanville University in Purchase, NY.
